Its unique design puts simplicity and accuracy at the surgeon’s fingertips. The probe will give a numerical indication and an acoustic signal when in proximity of a gamma ray emitting source. ONE TOUCH ACTIVATION Push any button, and the Gamma Finder® II probe automatically powers up and begins counting gamma rays. To activate the 10-second count feature, simply depress the “C” button and the probe will average 10 consecutives counts or, if you desire, provide you with a cumulative 10-second count. For Background/Binary Pitch Mode, simply push the “B” button, and the probe will automatically establish a baseline and beep only when the threshold is reached. CORDLESS The Gamma Finder® II probe is the only cordless hand-held probe on the market today. Once the sentinel node or gland location has been detected, it can be set down within the sterile field without interfering with the operative procedure’s progress. This enables the surgeon to easily re-examine or confirm any location already detected without help from assistant.
